Hours spent sitting slumped will take its toll. Sitting at a desk all day or driving long distances, looking at your phone - Whether you are 18, 38 or 58 this posture will eventually start to have a detrimental impact on both physical and mental health.
Rounded back, shortened hamstrings….back pain
Tightened hip flexors……inability to stand straight
Forward head position….neck hump, headaches
Tight chest muscles…..inability to take a full breath….lack of oxygen uptake…poor body functioning.

Easy steps to improve the situation
See a physio, soft tissue therapist for advice if you are in pain….you can be some immediate relief through massage and prescriptive exercise.
Adjust car seat and steering wheel
Ergonomic chair / standing desk
Exercises to strengthen, for example, weak back and stretch tight chest.
Classes to lengthen and strengthen the body….Purestretch, Pilates, yoga.
Do something today for an easier tomorrow xxx
