🌞 Stay Cool & Hydrated This Summer – You’ve Got This! 💦

As the temperatures rise, so does the need to stay on top of hydration and body care, especially during exercise. Whether you’re coming to class, working out at home, or just living your busy life — here are some gentle reminders to help you feel strong, safe, and supported in the heat.

💧 Hydration is Your Summer Superpower

• Start sipping early – try drinking a glass of water 30–60 mins before class.

• Bring water to every session and take small sips throughout – we’ll build extra hydration breaks into the classes as needed.

• Keep sipping post-class – aim to drink regularly all day, not just when you’re thirsty.

🍋 Natural Electrolyte Boosts (No Neon Drinks Needed!)

When you sweat, your body loses key minerals like sodium, potassium & magnesium. Replenish naturally:

• Add a pinch of sea salt + splash of lemon or lime to your water

• Snack on hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumber, oranges, and strawberries

• Enjoy bananas or avocados to keep your muscles happy (hello potassium!)

• Try coconut water for a natural electrolyte top-up

❄️ Cool Down, Your Way

Our classes are judgment-free zones —

• Take breaks anytime you need

• Wear light, breathable clothing

• Bring a cooling cloth or mist spray to freshen up mid-class. Some participants even bring their own mini fan!

• Let me know if you need extra modifications —On hotter days the classes will be in “hot format” where I take some of the more challenging tracks out in favour of something more sedate and gentle.

🧠 Listen to Your Body

Hot weather can affect energy, mood, and focus — especially if you’re peri/menopausal.

Be kind to yourself. There is no “pushing through” here — just tuning in and listen your body’s needs. If you need to stop or slow dow - do it !
